5 Things To Do With Your Baby This Week (April Part 1)

Starting off a mini-series of things we can do with our baby. Often, I get so overwhelmed with Mom-stuff I need some spark to bond with Baby E & preferably something that does not require heavy duty preparation.

I’ll begin with 5 simple activities that’s fun, cognitive and language building. One for each weekday – Monday to Friday.

Have fun!

1. Monday

Tickle Time!

Tickle away the Monday blues. Baby E loves being tickled. We usually have a mini tickling session after a bath or at random play times.

Favourite tickle rhyme:

This Little Piggy

This little piggy went to market,
This little piggy stayed home,
This little piggy had roast beef,
This little piggy had none.
This little piggy went …
Wee, wee, wee,
all the way home!

2. Tuesday

Hide behind a door or wall. Sing out, “Oh where oh where is my little [insert baby’s name]? Oh where oh where can he be?”
Pop out and meet with squeals of laughter.

3. Wednesday

Let’s ride an Aeroplane!
Take baby around the world in this all time classic game. Lie down on a mattress, lie baby stomach down on your shins. Lift both legs up 90 degrees and whoosh!!! Take off!

4. Thursday

Ball Games
Usually, I’ll hold Baby E and pretend to kick soccer around the room using a lightweight ball.
He enjoys it so much! A great mini workout for me.

5. Friday

Bubble Fun!
Who doesn’t love bubbles!?
Since Baby E is still immobile. He simple enjoys watching the bubbles grow, float off and pop.
Check out our previous post on DIY giant bubbles!
PS: I’ll update more as I need to rush off to pick up my Big E from school.
More ideas? Please comment & I’ll put them in and link you up!
